I recently moved house, purchasing a unit that had been built by Fidelis Construction. My home inspector actually commented that this was one of the best-built houses he’d seen in quite a long time. Anyway I decided to install a video doorbell but didn’t realise it’s power draw exceeded the design of the existing doorbell power supply. I looked in the attic and upstairs mechanical room as well as the garage breaker panel but couldn’t find the transformer. So I decided to call Fidelis and leave a voicemail asking where the unit might be. To my surprise I received a call back from Michael himself. He quickly told me where to find the unit in my crawlspace, and I was able to get in there and locate it right away. I think this small attention to detail and responsiveness to someone other than the original purchaser is increasingly unusual these days. It’s small things like that which would sway my opinion on which builder I’d choose.
